When it comes to kids jiu jitsu, it seems that everyone has an opinion. From the experts who think you should stick to Muay Thai kickboxing, to the new comers to the sport that say it is way too complicated. I am here to tell you that you can be a good fighter even if you never sign up for any tournaments or enroll in a gym. You don’t have to spend a bunch of money on classes or take a bunch of practice moves.
I learned this a long time ago when I first started doing martial arts. I fell in love with it because it was very low key and I could learn in my own time. I didn’t have to listen to some fat guy who told me I should quit because I couldn’t learn quick enough. I really enjoyed learning kids jiu jitsu and it kept me active for many years.
Another reason that I enjoy kids jiu jitsu so much is that I don’t feel like I am going against someone. In a gym setting you are going up against other people who have signed up and paid their fee and invested their time and money into that sport. You know, if you are not going to go there and give your all you aren’t going to get anywhere. But if you do want to learn how to fight then you should take the kids jiu jitsu class. The people that are in that gym won’t have any idea what you are doing but they will have a pretty good idea on how much you are training.
